Tamara Rosenthal to Join Early Childhood as Assistant Next Year

We are happy to announce that Tamara Rosenthal will be Ashwood’s early childhood assistant for next year. Many of you already know Tamara as Sora and Phoebe’s mom, and if you have met her, you already know what a warm, loving, and kind person Tamara is. Tamara completed her Waldorf early childhood teacher training through the Waldorf Teacher Education Program in Eugene, Oregon. She was both an assistant and lead extended day teacher at the Hazelwood Outdoor Kindergarten, a Waldorf-inspired early childhood program in Eugene. She also served as early childhood extended day teacher at the Euguene Waldorf School, and was a teacher at the former Fiddlehead Preschool in Newcastle, Maine.

We were delighted to ask Tamara to join our early childhood faculty, and Tamara enthusiastically accepted this position. In her own words:
“I am thrilled to be joining Ashwood as an assistant in the early childhood classroom. I have loved working with and being around young children all my life. When I found Waldorf education 11 years ago, I had an opportunity to see and learn that education could be presented with such beauty, depth and intention. Ashwood holds this same feeling, and every time I attend an event, assembly or concert at Ashwood, I am completely amazed and warmed by the work that is happening here.”

Tamara joins an experienced and loving group of early childhood teachers for the 2019-2020 school year:

  • Morgan Wade lead teacher
  • Marianne Bockli, extended day teacher and early childhood program mentor
  • Audrey McGlashan, parent-child class teacher
  • Tamara Rosenthal, early childhood assistant

Our school, and especially, our students are blessed to have such talent and dedication!
