My name is Emma Berryman-Moore, and I graduated from Ashwood in 2010, which feels impossibly long ago! I attended Camden Hills Regional High School and graduated in 2014, before moving on to the University of New Hampshire (2014-2018), where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Environmental Economics and International Affairs (minors in Political Science and French). While in college, I was lucky enough to study abroad in Dijon, France, where I studied economics, French, and art at L’Université de Bourgogne. I absolutely loved my time traveling and working in an international environment.
After college, I began working for a global education company as an international student advisor. Recently, I’ve accepted a position at our Queens College location in NYC! I’m very excited to continue my role working with international students, but at a really exciting college in an incredibly diverse, interesting area. Guiding students through their college careers in a new country is rewarding, and also means that I’m always learning and growing. No two days are ever the same, and that (plus getting to know unique and passionate individuals) makes my job something that I’m excited to do.
For fun, I love to travel, read, be outside, cook, and spend time with friends and family. I certainly credit my love for the outdoors with all my early exposure at Ashwood, and enjoy camping and hiking in the warmer months as much as I can. I cannot wait until traveling is safe once again, so I can continue my planned trips to Europe and hopefully Southeast Asia (where many of my students come from) sometime soon! In the meantime, I’m getting excited about my move to NYC, and look forward to all the opportunities there!
