This week, Class 6-7 walked across campus to visit the Early Childhood Center. After singing for the kindergarteners, the middle schoolers passed a delightful half hour playing kindergarten-style. Jungle gyms were scaled. An obstacle course was set up. Sandboxes were explored with trowels and buckets. Sixth grader Gabe decided to hang out at the playhouse window offering “ice cream” for sale, much to the delight of the little ones. It wasn’t all fun and games, though; some of the middle schoolers took the opportunity to help out by raking leaf-strewn paths. Everyone seemed to have a grand time, and we hope to visit again soon.
