We are pleased to announce that we have hired Tamara Rosenthal as our new nursery school lead teacher. Tamara is a trained Waldorf early childhood teacher. She was the early childhood assistant at Ashwood last year and rejoined the EC faculty in December. She has a gentle and caring spirit and the children love her.
Tamara grew up in Bloomington, Indiana. After completing a Waldorf Early Childhood teaching certificate in Eugene, OR, Tamara worked as an assistant in a Waldorf forest kindergarten program and led a parent-and-child playgroup. Tamara has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology and bio-anthropology from Indiana University. She has worked as a field archaeologist and in the lab at IU. Tamara’s daughters have joined Ashwood as students in EC and Class 1-3. Tamara loves spending her time outside in just about any capacity: biking, canoeing, finding new wildflowers, gardening, hiking and playing in the snow. She also enjoys knitting and working with wool.
Tamara is an amazing teacher! The Ashwood community is so blessed to have her.
Hooray! And congrats on the new program.
Wonderful news! Ms Tamara is well loved and a glorious energy in EC.
