On Wednesday, January 16, from 8:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Ashwood Waldorf School will offer community members an opportunity to visit classes in-session. This behind-the-scenes look at Waldorf education is for all those who are curious about what goes on in a Waldorf classroom. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, college or high school student, teacher, health care professional, or simply an interested community member, please join us for this window into Waldorf education.
Every morning, in more than 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide, the day begins with a dynamic, interactive main lesson, where academic subjects come to life through storytelling, movement, experimentation, and the arts. This tour allows visitors see the main lesson in action, as we sit in on three classrooms in session, from early elementary grades through the middle school. After the tour there will be time for questions and conversation with the school director.
Tours offered monthly from October through May. Please call at least two days in advance to register (207.236.8021), or email us. All are welcome, from prospective parents to the merely curious! Come find out why our students thrive.
