Class 4-5 has recently completed its Human and Animal block. In this block the students began to explore what it means to be human by looking at their relationships with the living beings and environments that surround them. As a culminating project, each student created an animal habitat diorama as well as a short essay and a poem about their chosen animal. Finally, when the last sprig of evergreen was carefully laid and the last grain of sand was glued to the cardboard shoreline, the class held an open house where they answer questions from an admiring crowd of students, parents, grandparents, and teachers.
