Early-Childhood Parent Evening and Candle Dipping
Feb 2 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

How do parents know when their kindergartener is ready for first grade? We’ll explore developmental milestones and how they relate to the Waldorf curriculum. We’ll also consider questions such as: What are the readiness indicators for first grade? How does the early childhood curriculum prepare students for grade school? What does the kindergarten to first grade transition look like? How does the Waldorf curriculum teach math and reading in grades one and two? There will also be ample time for questions and discussion.
Teachers from both the early childhood program and the grade school will be on hand to answer questions, facilitate conversation, and lead the group through sample first-grade activities.
The evening will end with an opportunity to hand-dip beeswax candles!
