534637_489073141120555_1278668147_nDeb Soule of Avena Botanicals and Tom Griffin of Hope’s Edge Farm will speak about biodynamic farming and gardening as the introductory lecture in Avena’s series “Our Living Earth, Living Soul”. Biodynamic agriculture, based on the spiritual scientific insights of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), is a method of organic farming that emphasizes the holistic development and interrelationships among soil, plants and animals, as well as a self-sustaining system of agriculture.

Hopes Edge Farm, located on 100 acres in North Hope, has operated as a seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program since 2002 and is committed to organic/biodynamic practices.
